Ventral Hernia 57 Single-dock TARM with retrograde retrorectus dissection

Transabdominal retromuscular repairs often will necessitate a double-dock event to allow for sufficient retromuscular dissection on the ipsilateral side. We have developed retrograde dissection strategies for peritoneum and have recently been using retrograde retromuscular dissection in settings when bilateral TAR is not necessary. This video reviews the phases of the operation and how it is performed safely.
