Ventral Hernia 51 Rotational Falciform Flap for Posterior Sheath Defects

Placement of extraperitoneal mesh during hernia repair can reduce the potential for adhesions and mesh-visceral interactions. Some patients present with thin peritoneum and developing an adequate plane can be challenging. This video highlights some of the strategies that can be used for coverage of peritoneal and posterior sheath defects, specifically highlighting a falciform rotational flap.
