Description
This video reviews transabdominal preperitoneal ventral hernia repair with rectus aponeuroplasty (TAPP-RA) for management of incisional ventral hernias. Prior demonstrations have been performed with a unilateral dock, and retrograde peritoneal dissection. For larger hernias, a more extensive peritoneal dissection is needed and thus, double-docking is advantageous. We review the key steps to the operation and highlight dissection strategies.
