Preperitoneal repair of inguinal hernias has a significant learning curve. One of the elements of developing efficiency is developing an understanding of the correct dissection plane for dissection. This unedited video (3X speed) reviews a case of a bilateral inguinal hernia repair in which the dissection of the second side is performed more efficiently than the first. Though both dissections arrive to the same destination, the second side is notably more efficient and less disruptive to the surrounding structures.
