Overview
Minimally invasive inguinal hernia repair in patients following urologic pelvic interventions has long been considered a relative contraindication to repair. For patients who present with large inguinal hernias and require procedures such as prostatectomy or cystectomy, concurrent preperitoneal inguinal hernia repair is feasible. This video reviews some considerations that hernia surgeons and urologists should make when consider concurrent inguinal hernia repair with radical cystectomy for patients presenting with bladder tumors and inguinal hernias.
