Behind the knife

Many patients with inguinal hernias have previously had preperitoneal and pelvic surgery. These factors are considered relative contraindications to minimally invasive strategies for repair. We review a case of hernia recurrence and demonstrate the safety of minimally invasive surgery in this setting.
